I woke up with a terrible headache. I couldn't remember anything. I couldn't even remember my own name!
''W-where am I?'' I said. Then I looked down. I was wearing a couple grass skirts and a pearl necklace. It couldn't be. I was a pygmy.

''No,'' I said, standing up and backing away. ''This can't be happening... No, just no!'' I suddenly bumped into a coconut tree and a coconut fell on my head. Then I was knocked out again. I woke up in a laboratory-like room on a cot. A bag of ice was on my head. ''Where am I now...'' I groaned. Suddenly, my eyes were all the way open. Another pygmy was gazing down at me.

''Hello, newcomer,'' the pygmy said. He sounded smart. ''I am Klik, leader of tribe Oogka Chaka. You're new here, aren't you?'' He said. ''Yes,'' I told him. ''Now tell me, what is your name?'' asked Klik. "I can't remember, all I remember is that I use to be a human. Then I got amnesia, fell out of the sky, and became a pygmy.'' Klik rubbed his chin. ''I see,'' he said. ''Considering I don't know if that is scientifically possible.''

Klik thought for a moment. Then he looked back up at me. ''I got an idea,'' he said. ''How about we give you a new name.''
''Okay,'' I said. ''How about... Ashleigh?'' Said Klik. ''That sounds fine,'' I told him. ''But you can call me Ash for short.''
''Sounds quite recommended,'' said Klik. ''Now you can meet the other tribe members.

Klik grabbed hold of my hand and lead me over to a totem.
''But before we do that, I need to tell you about the Gem of Life,'' said Klik. ''The Gem of Life?'' I said. ''What's that?''
''This gem allows us to regenerate whenever we die. It is a gift from our gods,'' Klik said. ''That sounds nice,'' I told him. ''Now I'll show you the other members,'' Klik said. He grabbed my arm and started running and pulling me. ''Slow down, slow down!'' I kept on telling him. Suddenly he stopped, flinging me into the air. I felt hark jaws clamp around me. Then there was nothing.

Suddenly, I landed on the ground with a 'Pop!'. Klik walked over. ''Oh, goodness,'' are you okay?'' He asked. He helped me up. ''I felt like I was gonna die for a second,'' I told him. Suddenly two more pygmies ran over, a slightly chubby one and a hairy one. ''Hey Klik, who's the chick?'' Said the hairy one in a flirty tone. ''Booga!'' Klik snapped at the hairy one.
''Gee, sorry,'' said Booga. The chubby one stepped closer.. He was mute for a second and started tapping his fingers. Then he put his hand out in front of me.

"Hi, I'm Klak,'' said the chubby one. ''Nice to meet you, I've never met a female pygmy before.''
''Well, I'm Ashleigh, but you call me Ash,'' I told Klak. ''Very nice,'' Klak said. So, what are we planning today?" I asked them. Booga got into a more devious look. ''We're gonna play Squid-ball.''
